Celebrating 15 Years In Durham’s Historic Brightleaf District

The Federal first opened in March of 2004, after three guys got together and saw a need for a solid neighborhood bar that celebrated Durham. But not just any neighborhood bar, one that served simple but fantastic food, that would exceed expectations. And with this good food came good beer – 14 micros from around the country and a solid bottle selection.
